My first attempt to draw an under water scene and a mermaid character. Red hair again, but I can do nothing about it, I love it I was also practising on a background and textures.

"People, stop killing the Earth!" - this is my desperate scream...
This illustration shows a young beautiful woman - Nature - near the nuclear waste. And it's killing her...Can we stop it?

I was inpired (if can say so) after I watched this weekend a tv programme about the world environmental conditions.

Hi all!

The idea of the image is based on an amazing fairy tale "The Scarlet Flower" (Russian: "Аленький цветочек"; First published in 1858) by famous russian writer Sergei Timofeevich Aksakov (Russian: Сергей Тимофеевич Аксаков ). For those who have never heard about this fairy tale I can tell that the idea of the world known Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" is very close to "The Scarlet Flower".

In this painting I tried to show my vision of the main female character, beautiful and young girl. While she's carried away by the beauty of the Scarlet Flower, the beast is watching her from the dark forest. She doesn't know that she's holding a soul of the beast in her hands. So beautiful soul of a terrible beast! Good inside of evil.

About the painting:
Drawn in Painter and some final steps and effects in photoshop. Used some of my own refs for the girl's pose.

These holidays I felt really inspired This is the result! Character - Forest Nymph. Main aim was to practice with the background, that's why the final size isn't too big - 3000x5000.

Hi dears!

This lady doesn't have an easy life as it seems...

She looks young but her youth is the result of a crime. Once an 60 years old lady felt in love with a handsome young gentleman. How could she - an old tired woman - be intersting for a married man with children?

But her love was so strong and crazy that she was ready for everything to make him fall in love with her...even for a crime. And she did...

She used a black magic to take a youth from man's wife and marry him herself. But in soul she will always stay old and ugly, she will never be able to have her own children and she'll stay a stepmother for husband's children.

Poor man...sometimes he sees her real face in the shadows and that scaries him and makes him week...

This image was inspired by my honeymoon summer trip to Greece. My aim was to show the feeling of freedom and love. I used a photoref found in the internet to help me with pose. Also I used as ref my own photos of window and bird. Everything was painted in Painter and then a bit color correction in Photoshop.

There is no special story behind this image, but anyway I tried to put something personal into her character. Girl's name was given after I finished work and found out that she is very similar to one my old friend Liza
